I’ve got a friend who always orders whatever they want when we go out — starters, cocktails, dessert, the lot. I normally just get one main and maybe a drink. Every single time the bill comes, they immediately say “shall we just split it evenly?” and everyone agrees before I get the chance to say anything. Last time I ended up paying nearly £25 more than what I actually ordered.
